Cmd + Option + O works as expected on the 3 Macs that I've checked. Each is running macOS 15.0.1 Having reviewed comment by @Rikk Flohr: Photography and video by @John R Ellis above and enabled Loupe Ovelay, I experience the same isssue as described in original post.

I can't comment on 14, but red dot under the masks button indicates that the mask need to be updated. 'Update AI Setting's can be found under the Develop module Settings menu.

You haven't mentioned which version of macOS you're using. If Sequoia, then please see https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/p-upgrading-to-sequoia-breaks-tethering/td-p/14873946 for an explantion as to why tethering no longer works.

If you have cloud sync enabled, then try pausing. it. If pausing cloud sync helps, then the underlying issue is that some files are stuck in th sync queue.

If you have cloud sync enabled, then try 'Pausing' it from the cloud icon at top right corner of application UI. Typically, the underlying issue is that one or more files is stuck in the sync queue.

@jamesr50949594 It's a known bug with the v3 profile. As you've discovered, using the v2 profile instead overcomes he issue. However, the v2 profile tends to have more corner vignetting than it should. Fortunately, this is easily corrected, should feel the need, by manually adjusting the Vignetting slider.

Lightroom is. trying to connect with servers that no longer exist. The workaround that others have found to work is to temporarily disable your internet connection, then click on the 'Start Trial' button. When Lightroom sucessfully launches you can renable your internet connection. Hopefully, above gets you up and running again.

@jonnyjonz Sadly, it's not possible limit direction of syncing. If sync is enabled, then any images on cloud but not in LrC will be synced to LrC. This is by design and unlikely to change.

If you have cloud sync enabled, then it's very likely that the issue is related to files being stuck in the sync queue. See post above by @esrauscht that explains how to check and fix. Pausing sync will also stop the excess memory use, but does not resolve the stuck file syncing.

The Resize to Fit option is bad choice as it upscales your images to 8000 px. You really should be trying to establish why the images are only 2540 px to begin with. I suspect the reason is that you're using Smart Previews rather then the original images.

Do you have sync to Adobe Cloud enabled? I ask because there are many users who experience excessive memory use when sync is enabled. If you do have it enabled, then try Pausing to see if that helps. Normally it does.

@kcslagle Pleasee start a new thread describe your issue there. This will ensure that any info given is specifc to your question rather than one that's 9 months old. Also, include a copy of your 'System Info', which can be obtained from the LrC Help >System Info menu item.

When importing from a memory card, the recommendation (and default) is to select the card listed under 'Files', rather than 'Devices'. Alternatively, copy the file from the card to your desired location using the OS tools (e.g. drag and drop), then use the 'Add' option in LrC import dialog.

Others have reported similar issue for other cameras after they upgraded to Sequoia. So, it would seem that tethering LrC when using macOS Sequoia is broken..

Your System Info indicates that your Trial License has expired. You also seem to be using Lightroom Classic 7.3.1, which is subscription only and very old. This suggests that you've either installed it in trial mode at some point or let your subscription lapse. When license expires you can still use the Library module features, but Develop module is disabled.
